“My studies at Young Actors Space began in 2011. I had been out of acting for a while and dove back in by joining the Adult Scene Study class which also incorporates lots of improv. It’s a terrific class to keep your instrument tuned and it continues to challenge me – I’m still learning all the time.
I’ve also taken the On-Camera class which is great for both audition techniques and those very specific muscles that one needs for camera work. Patrick Day, who taught both these classes, is a terrific teacher and coach.
I’ve also taken Scott Alan Moffitt’s IPA dialect classes. What a challenge, what fun and what an incredibly cool tool to have – to be able to teach myself any accent is terrific. Scott’s simply excellent at dialects.
And this past summer I had the pleasure of producing and acting in the play “Below The Belt” which ran at the Whole Theatre at Young Actors Space (June 2017). Patrick Day directed the production masterfully. I simply can’t emphasize enough how wonderful my experiences at Young Actors Space continue to be. If you come here as a student, you will thrive.”
