“Young Actors Space, or as we fondly call it YAS, is a great place for anyone to go for Acting classes. I started going to YAS when I was a young seventh grader in 2005. When I was looking for classes I audited at least 7 and for me YAS was the right fit.
As a young actor the classes gave you the an outlet to explore your love for acting while being a serous acting class environment. I remember every Tuesday night being excited and ready to go to class and have FUN honing my craft with good friends I had made. The children & teen classes are what gave me my strong foundation for my acting.
During the summer YAS puts on a summer conservatory program in which young actors are given an original script and a production is created. I attended two different conservatories at the space and had some of the best times as an actor creating these productions with other young actors. You have three performances in which the young actors perform their play. For any young actor I highly recommend this Summer Conservatory.
Thus the kids classes go until you are 18, and then you transition into the Adult class. The transition is a smooth one due to the amazing teachers that guide you at YAS. The Adult class is like a family. Everyone is there to further their love of acting. Most are working actors and it helps a lot when your classmates are there for you to help and encourage alongside your teachers.

The Teachers in my time at YAS I have had two of the most Passionate, Caring and helpful teachers. Nora and Patrick are the reason SO MANY successful actors are still to this day working actors. They are there to guide you and help you.

Patrick is also the director of the school and has taken YAS to the next level while keeping the family feeling. If you need to do a one on one coaching for a big audition just let Patrick know and he will do everything to help you knock it out of the park. One time I was told I had an audition very late at night and I had called Patrick he answered and we set up a Private Coaching for that next morning. Moral of the story: they are always there for you no matter what.
The reason in my opinion YAS is such a special place for actors is that they don’t make it about themselves but they make it about you. The friendships you make with people from YAS last a lifetime. I am still friends with multiple people I have had classes with. Thank you, Young Actors Space, from the bottom of my Heart for everything, I would not be the same person or actor that I am today.”
